The flowers used on the video tag are a reminder of the beauty that can exist in a barren place.
How often are the faithful in a dry, barren and harsh surrounding, yet living to reflect the glory of
the Creator.
These flowers flourish in the harsh environment of the Coral Coast of Western Australia, where the
Mediterranean climate is similar to the southern portion of the Holy land. Summers
are long, very dry and very hot, but the cool winter brings the refreshing rain, which like the Word of God,
refreshes the shrubs which blossom in Spring, changing the barren landscape into one of incredible beauty,
but they dry off in the summer heat, surviving against incredible odds awaiting the refreshing rain.
Like men and women of faith, these plants burst forth into life to carpet the earth with beauty, when the
water of life (a symbol in scripture of the Word of God) showers upon them.
When speaking to the woman of Samaria, the Lord Jesus said to her, "If thou knewest the gift of God, and who
it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee
living water." John 4: 9, 10.
In their glory, these flowers stand as silent sentinels to the glory of their Creator, just as we also need
to manifest the Glory of our Creator. Solomon we are told, in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
How deficient is our personal glory?
Like the flower of the field, we wither and die, our glory fades and we shall be seen no more, except a
miracle takes place, that of the resurrection as Paul explains in 1 Corinthians 15.
Job stated that man, "cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down: he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth
not." - Job 14: 2.
Isaiah tells us, "All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field: ... surely
the people is grass. The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for
ever." - Isaiah 40: 6 - 8.
Rich or poor, as the flower of the grass we shall pass away. (James 1).
Each new season for these flowers is a reminder of the day of resurrection, concerning which, the Apostle said,
"if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. Then they also which are fallen asleep
in Christ are perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. But
now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man came death,
by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made
alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming."

O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a
dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. Thus will I bless thee while
I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name. My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness;
and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips: When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on
thee in the night watches. Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.
