Which Bible Should I Use? To best understand the Bible.
King David: But the meek shall inherit the earth;
and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.- Psalm 37: 11 Jesus Christ: Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth...
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Matthew 5: 5, 9
There are many versions of the Bible, but which one is the best to use?
While newer versions of the Bible have aimed to "make the Bible more readable" than the King James Version of 1611,
the accuracy of the King James Version is beyond dispute.
It is for this reason that as serious Bible Students we recommend the Authorised King James Version for general reading and study.
Once the user becomes accustomed to the language of this version its benefits far outweigh its few disadvantages.
This of course does not preclude the use of other versions to help check the true understanding of difficult passages of scripture.
We recommend the principle of, "prove all things, hold fast to that which is good."
